What's My Teaching Philosophy?

As a special educator, I believe every child has a unique set of abilities just waiting to be explored!  Part of my job is to tap into those areas and assist your child in developing and maximizing his or her academic, social or emotional needs. I embrace the opportunity to help them become productive and functional citizens within our school and in our society.

Since all children learn differently and at different paces, most children's learning style perference tends to fall in one or a combination of three different learning styles. Some are characterized as "visual leaners." These are the students who learn by seeing  or creating images to help them retain information. Some students are "auditory learners." They tend to learn best by hearing and listening, while some like hands on and movement while learning. These are the "tactile learners." Regardless of your child's learning style, their educational enviornment can be matched to their needs.
